The TOEFL® exam. The TOEFL®, or Test Of English as a Foreign Language, is the essential exam for entry to universities in the United States. The TOEFL iBT measures your academic ability in English, whereas the TOEFL Essentials Test is divided into 50% academic English and 50% general English.
About the TOEFL The TOEFL is separated into four sections, each testing a different English skill in the following order: reading, listening, speaking, and writing. In this PDF, you'll find a shortened version of each section. A full-length TOEFL test takes about 4.5 hours and includes one 10-minute break before starting the speaking section.
On the "sample questions page" of the TOEFL ITP website, there's a short TOEFL ITP sample test for high beginner to intermediate students. On the same page, you'll also find another TOEFL ITP sample test for intermediate to advanced English learners. A reliable assessment of English The TOEFL ITP ® tests use academic and social content to evaluate the English-language proficiency of nonnative English speakers, giving you confidence in your students' ability in a real-world academic setting. TOEFL ITP Level 1 and 2 Tests You can do the TOEFL practice exam up to 3 times, as there are three practice tests available. Each sample TOEFL test requires 30 minutes and includes reading and listening questions. Speaking and writing are not graded. TestDEN will contact TOEFL course winners by e-mail. In order for the TOEFL iBT to measure how well you read, listen, speak and write in English, and how well you use these skills together, you'll be asked to integrate these skills for the test. For example, you may read a passage or listen to a lecture, and then write or speak about what you learned. The computer-based TOEFL test has four sections.
